Iphone pics catch up...part 1

I am so behind on blogging or keeping up with our life in anyway. I figured using my phone was the best way to catch up. I would love to say I will some day scrapbook the girls life but at this rate I'm not sure I will so I better do this!! ;) So if anyone actually still reads my blog, Hi out there! I hope I can keep this up.

The girl's school in the beginning has many theme days...or color days. They get to be a little challenging but the girls think they are awesome...joys of school and parenthood!

Pajama day and Teddy bear day!

 Red day!!!!
So in Madelyn's class they had to take a "Me" bag with all things that they like. It might have been my favorite project. I loved watching her pick out things and talk about it. Now it is so fun to go and watch her and see how far she has come!!! Where are my babies!!
This is her practicing
We are lucky we live in a town with lots of activities and we never get bored. The Doc mobile came and we got take our stuffed animals for a check-up. We were LUCKY and got there when they opened and didn't have to wait. The line was over 2 hours long once we were leaving. We even got to meet the real DOC!

This was before Doc came out (I can't find the picture) They even had cute lab coats for all the kids!
One of the things that changed this year was some of our besties started Kinder. We sure do miss them being around all the time but so fun to go have lunch with them! We hope the girls get to go to that school next year...fingers crossed!

 Purple day...
One sad event this year was our sweet Cousin Elayna moved FAR FAR away. She decided she was too cool to hang around here and moved to LA. Excited for her but we sure do miss her.

We went swimming at her apartment one last time
The adults took a little time before she left to go see the Rangers!!! We had weird seats and Chris was behind us. Got to love 3 dollar tickets off stubHub!

Orange day. Some of the days were hard to find. We have a lot of PINK

I just think this is cute. My dad got the girls fishing poles. They were OBSESSED, Madelyn even slept with it!

My sweet itty bitty can't keep the movie chair down...cracks me up!

Daddy went out of town for work one week and the girls and I went with him. We hit up the small town zoo and had a WONDERFUL time. I miss the girls short hair....might be time for a cut!

Madelyn

 Kinley

Ok super fun looking back at our year. Hope to finish the catch up this week!!!

First day of school!

The girls started their second year of preschool this year. WoW, Kindergarden is next year. I know people say this all the time but holy cow I can't believe they are almost 5!!!!! Jeez, my heart hurts a little, not gonna lie.

I LoVE this picture it shows their personality so much.

My Kinley girl

Maddie patty
The day before girls had meet the teacher! The girls got a little overwhelmed again this year. Started talking about wanting their sister in their class. Always a little hard to hear as their mom but it works well for us to be in different classes!

Madelyn with her class mascot!

 Kinley with hers!

Madelyn with her bestie!! They are pretty close to inseparable in class.
Making little teacher survival kits...bless them! 18, 4 year olds!!
Daddy got to come drop the girls off with us before heading to work! The girls were so excited!

We are completely blessed by the school the girls go too. We LOVE it. So glad we got to go there 2 years. I am a little sad we can't next year! :(

Halloween

In an old house in Paris
that was covered with vines
lived twelve little girls in two straight lines. The smallest one was Madeline

So I say this every year but I swear this is the last year I "make" their costumes. Well that is what my friends say that I say. I have always loved the book Madeline and actually wanted to spell Madelyn's name that way but was out voted my Chris. Anyways the girls wanted to be her (I might have suggested ;) a few times) Plus other than painting the hats and adding ribbon I didn't do a lot!

In the beginning we had actually convinced Kinley to be Ms. Clavel, the nun. One day we were at Hobby lobby and there was a nun in front of us a few weeks before halloween (what are the chances) and that kinda changed her mind. LOL

A few years ago we started hitting halloween festivals with our BFF's. So fun!!!

Madelines and a few spooks...missing Carter and Baby Sawyer!

I am not sure my girls could love Baby Sawyer anymore if he was their little brother...They are obsessed. Me too!!!

Madelyn and Sawyer

Our whole group...so fun to see all the costumes!!

The twins with my future son in laws ;)

I got really bad about taking pictures this halloween. I am super annoyed with myself and hope this new year I will be better about taking pictures on purpose and not just with my phone.

Last one is at our church every year we go and the girls help hand out candy on halloween. We really try to limit the girls candy because of their teeth issues (way easier said than done) and handing out candy is a easier way to avoid getting a ton!

Soccer days!

This year we decided to try our first organized sport. It was so fun to watch them in a team sport. Plus they were super cute in the uniforms. ;)

Madelyn's "soccer" picture

 Kinley's "soccer" picture

Their team...it was a interesting group of soccer players! I mean what group of 3 and 4 year olds aren't interesting running around a field chasing a ball. Trust me it was always a fun show to watch!

My little soccer players...aren't they so cute?!
Got to play with our best friend Carter!!!! LOVE THAT BOY!

Madelyn waited all season to be goalie. Kinley had gotten to the first game and you can imagine the sibling rivalry that caused! She did keep out 1 or 2 balls and was pretty proud of herself....us too!
Madelyn was by far the littlest on the team. Even though she is four and their were 3 year olds on the team. She had a hard time keeping up
Sweet Kinley girl was doing especially good the last game. She almost scored a goal. Trust me that was a huge improvement!

One the best things about soccer, it wore them out!!!!

Pretty sure their favorite thing was the snacks ;)
We had our own little cheering squad several games. It was so cold this day. We left the house in 70 degree weather and the temp dropped over 20 degrees. Luckily I had nap mats in the car!

Overall the girls made no goals but so fun to watch them. They loved it and keep asking when they can play again.

Fireworks go boom...

Our fourth of july started off fantastic and actually on the 3rd of July. We headed out to Light up Arlington with our friends! It was CRAZY packed, over 40,000 people!!! Tons of fun stuff to do while waiting for the firework show. Concert, food and inflatables. What's better than that!!?!

Ms. Maddie Moo
 Kinny Koo not far behind
 Landry and Madelyn climbing up
Mrs. Nicole wearing the girl's bow with Kinley!!!
 Our party spot!
Our friends!
That however was where the fun ended sadly...We were sitting enjoying the show. Chris and I were each holding a girl in our lap. I actually remember thinking how lucky we were to live in a town where we have professional fire works. When out of no where I felt something like powder fall on me and Kinley start SCREAMING. Not a scared screaming, like I have been hurt screaming. All the lights around us were turned off because of the show. So lots of adults trying to dig out cell phones for lights. We finally figure out she was hit by a firework. Just our luck out of 40,000 people we are the lucky ones.

This DOES NOT do the bump justice at all...

This is what we found that hit her...Yep! CRAZY

So I walk around not having much luck on finding anyone that could help or point us in the right direction for a medic. My parents were there but not with us, I call my mom because she works with the city and I figured she could help. We finally find the medic and get checked out.

Chris and Madelyn waiting for us to come back from the medic. So worried...;)

LONG story we decided to head to the ER. I mean she got pelleted in the head with a professional firework. Chris and I head to the ER and my parents took Madelyn home. ...Ok, so as a mom of twins or a mom to 2 children I don't get a lot of alone time with one child especially with Chris and I. Pretty sure the only time this happens is when they are hurt and at the ER. I think Kinley thought she was special because she was getting two on one attention...it didn't hurt that we were letting her get whatever she wanted from the vending machine and didn't have a sister to share it with.
We didnt get home till about 3 in the morning so we missed the parade this year.

After sleeping in on the 4th, We went to my uncles for our annual family lunch. I took this one picture...
Then we headed to the Steeces to hang with our BFF's for the evening.

THE DIVAS!!! Such sass...

Just for fun from last year

This was a bittersweet day it was the last day we all hung out at the Steece's old house. I think I feel more sentimental than them!

We are so lucky to have friends that love our kids like their own, even if it means letting them "beat them up" :) Good ole' Uncle Col.

Our crazy bunch
I love having a photographer for a husband sometimes. I love these next photos of Collin playing with fireworks.

Love that little Ethan, even if I missed half of the fireworks because of his crazy hat!

Auntie Suz with all of the little ducks following behind
Few more photos of the swing set the last time they got to play on it. Kinda makes me sad looking at it now.
Minus the firework thing it was a great day. Kinley seems to be scared of fireworks now though and doesn't even want to go to DisneyWorld now because they have fireworks :(
