What a week!

Sorry for the absence of blog updates! The girls and I have had quite the week. In addition to ECI appointments and regular appointments we are having a off week. The girls are turning in to toddlers very fast and are bringing on the tantrums! You know it's a bad sign when Mimi is shopping and brings home these four shirts that explain our week (more like two weeks)

Evidence that this was a off week...We had our first biting incident. Madelyn was trying to push Kinley out of the way and got annoyed with her sister and leaned over and bit her. It was in the middle of Wal-mart in the cart and let me tell you we made quite the scene.

Our fun weekend!

As you all know I have had the WONDERFUL pleasure of getting to actually hang out with blogger friends a lot lately! I have loved getting to visit with my twin mamas! These women help me through the day, and I am SOO lucky that I have found them through our blogs. Anyways over the weekend Chris, the girls and I traveled to Arkansas to visit a great friend, Kristi. Kristi and I have been talking, chatting and texting since the girls were born. ( I think they were still in the NICU) We had a great time the first visit and this one was no different, we had a blast! We stayed much busier this time getting ready for the party...We had tons of fun!

Friday morning I decided it was time to try to put up the girls hair! I used different rubber bands and they worked GREAT!
They look so grown up with big girl hair!

It's not quite long enough to lay down so it sticks straight up!

We played outside lots and watched Daddy and Ben set up the HUGE slide for the party! The girls love to swing and Lexyn and Brittyn were nice enough to share their swings with K and M!

We all of course had to try it out the night before to make sure it would work for the party! ;)

The Brown Family

Lex going by herself, this girl was SOO not afraid of the slide.
Saturday morning was the party, Kristi did such a great job planning this party. I love a good party! Click on the picture to look at all the WAY cute details!

Madelyn and Kinley took off walking this weekend following the big girls! (as of this weekend Madelyn started walking!!!!!! about a month after Kinley)

Kinley going down with Daddy!

Madelyn was less thrilled about it at first, but really started to like it later

Let me tell you about Brittyn, that girl does not slow down! If ever a birthday party theme was made for the kids it was this one! Those Brown girls are MONKEYS! They don't slow down, I LOVE IT! Lexyn and Brittyn, I loved playing with you this weekend and miss having you around!
Sweet Brit!

Sweet Lex!

Mommy and Madelyn sliding!

They also had a small bounce house, which the girls really loved!

Kinley

Madelyn
After all the guests left we hooked water up to the big slide and played for a while! My girls were not crazy about it and again the swings won! They love to swing. I think the grown ups and Lex had a blast going down the water slide.

Girls eating their first Popsicles!

Brittyn showing them how it's done!
Our AMAZING husbands were sweet enough to man the troops while Kristi and I got out of the house for a girls night. It was a blast! Thanks, Ben and Chris!

Sunday we decided we had to get a picture of all four of them!

The Outtakes!

Although I almost like this one more! They look like they are all having such a good time

Kristi, Ben, Lexyn and Brittyn, we had a WONDERFUL time and thank you so much for letting us come and celebrate your birthday! We can't wait to play again, hopefully it will be soon.

Poppy!

Today as I was getting pictures from our GREAT weekend with the browns, I found this and thought they were too cute not to share!

In April we went to our Annual family reunion in Oklahoma. Last year the babies were so little they slept the whole time..This year they got in on some fun! I didn't get to take a lot of pictures because I was too busy chasing! They played in the dirt and with rocks and just had a great time. Poppy even took the girls on the four wheeler (like 2 miles a hour) and they loved it! In fact I left the girls with my parents for a little while and I heard they fell asleep on it!

Let me tell you this little girls LOVE their Poppy (or as Kinley says POP POP) Sometimes when poppy has them they will go to NO one else...not even me sometimes!

Kristi put up a great blog about our weekend and her girls birthday party if you can't wait for mine...but the girls are sleeping and I am SO tired from partying all weekend I think I will go take a nap!

Madelyn's Eyes

I was looking at pictures in my phone today and realized I never blogged about Madelyn's eye exam. Since I am using this as my "scrapbook" for now I felt I needed to add it in.

At our 15 month check up I mentioned that Madelyn had been squinting her eyes some especially when she would look at the TV. I didn't think much of it until she started doing it more and more. The doctor thought we should go ahead and get it checked out.

Madelyn and I got to go alone since Auntie Suz was kind enough to watch Kinley. Hey, whats one more when you have four right? LOL! It's fun to take the girls by themselves sometimes... in addition we don't get as much attention which is kind of nice!

Playing in the waiting room

The doctor dilated her eyes which she was NOT crazy about...not to mention it was nap time and she was cranky already when they started messing with her. We waited 30 minutes and the Dr (who I would totally recommend) said she looks fine!!! YAY! He thinks she may have allergies or something and that is why she would be doing that. In a way I felt silly but she was doing it ALOT and I would have always worried about it if I didn't check!

Liz's Birthday Week!

Around the Tarrant household everyone has a birthday week! Ha, really it's just so we can celebrate longer! My birthday week started with the Wedding/San Antonio trip! Which was a much needed break. As nice as it was to get away you can't stay gone from reality forever! Plus I think Mimi and Poppy would have made us come home after a while! HA, no I was ready to see my girls after a few days!

My Actually birthday! Me and the Girls!

I didn't want a big deal for my actual birthday...just dinner at home (take out of course. I am not cooking on my birthday) Then I got Chris to hang some pictures that we had gotten framed and work on his honey do list! It's amazing what people will do for you when it's your birthday. Even Mimi, Poppy and Uncle Andrew came over and helped again!

Kinley enjoying Mommy's cake

Madelyn digging in!

Both my mom and Chris got me flowers! Aren't they pretty?

The next day we continued to have fun and played in the sprinkler for the first time. They also LOVE their new water table from Mimi and Poppy!

Madelyn prefers the water table and Kinley can't decide!

She really didn't like the sprinkler

Kinley thought it was pretty cool

Still not sure about the whole thing!

Here is a video of them playing in the sprinkler. Issac (little boy I watch) is playing too. He is who is talking through it. At the end you can have a glimpse of Kinley walking! Also it looks like the video from the last time but I promise it's not. It just put that on there in the beginning for some reason.

Happy Birthday Brown girls!
