A Royal Tea Party!

Royal-Wedding-Kate-William

Ok, if you know me, you know sometimes I can get a bit carried away with a good party! It all started with my cousin Elayna, we started talking about the Royal Wedding. I asked her if she was going to wake up and watch, she promptly told me no, which I quickly said you have too! Somehow it went from her not watching to us planning a Tea Party Viewing party! Yes, I am fully aware that I am crazy, but hey we had a blast planning and actually going through with it.

us at like 4 in the morning! She just spent the night.

We had a TON of brunch type food! It was a good thing because it was way early and we needed help staying awake. IMG_0686 No tea party is complete without tea!

Tea Party My mom was totally up for a watching viewing party and came over BRIGHT AND EARLY too! See where we all get it from…we can’t help it!

My brother when he heard we cooked a ton came by to eat much LATER!!!!

(and didn’t care about the wedding at all)

IMG_1027 The little girls who didn’t get up early either had to get in on the tea party too! We borrowed their table from Mimi’s house…it used to be mine growing up.

Easter 2011

We had a wonderful Easter. The girls seemed to enjoy the whole holiday this year. It was a lot of fun watching them enjoy everything. However, they were completely sure that they DID NOT want to see the actual Easter bunny. Every time we passed him at the mall, they waved until we got closer and then would say no no bunny! So no Easter bunny pictures this year.

Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny!

We were off to church after the Easter baskets. I decided to take pictures before church to ensure they they were clean and well behaved and not tired! I LOVE the pictures, so there are a few!

IMG_0742

IMG_0743 IMG_0745IMG_0754 There are more but I liked those the best! I did however forget to take a picture of all of us! Oh well! My parents brought the girls a Easter present so the girls got to open them before we went in. I have no idea why Poppy isn’t in any of these pictures…he was there!IMG_0755 IMG_0758

Madelyn giving Mimi a hug after getting her books and Stuffed hello kitties! IMG_0760 Our church always has a egg hunt after church and we were so thankful it was not raining this year! (seems like it rains a lot here on Easter!) It took a few moments for the girls to figure it all out!

IMG_0796 Until they learned that there was candy in each egg. It was over. They stopped to eat!

IMG_0799

IMG_0802 IMG_0803 We spent Easter afternoon taking a three hour nap! It was a great day!

It was also Uncle Andrew’s birthday so in the evening we got to celebrate his birthday! Thanks to Grandma Belinda for watching the girls so we could have dinner with no little girlies! They are getting more hard fun to take to restaurants lately! We are working on that!

Good times, Good friends!

The Huttons and the Tarrants meet again! This time in good ‘ole COWTOWN! They came down to watch Kristi’s Dad, grandfather and great grandfather be inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. How cool is that, what a COOL honor…We couldn’t let them come into our turf without seeing us at least once or twice. We met up with them at a park and had a wonderful dinner at Joe T’s!

Kinley and Madelyn are wearing clothes that the Hutton’s passed down to us…Seriously most of their summer wardrobe is from A and A…THANK YOU!

IMG_9885

Ok, Kristi. I completely apologize in advance if I mix the girls up. I can tell them apart in real life but some of the pictures are hard!

We had a good time playing at the park…the Daddies chased and the Mom’s got to chat ;) We decided to take the Huttons to the famous Ft. Worth restaurant Joe T’s. It is great for 4, 2 year olds…all outside!

Takes a lot of high chairs and a big table for our two families!

IMG_9908

The girls soon discovered the many fountains around the restaurant after we were done eating. They enjoyed playing dumping water on themselves. They got a TON of attention from most of the crowd.

We ended the night by carrying four very wet girls out of the restaurant!!!

The next day we met Kristi and the girls at Central Market for playing and lunch! The girls quickly found the stage and decided that was the place to play. The Daddies weren’t there so we didn’t get many pictures, we were too busy chasing!

Who knows what they were doing, but they were having fun!

5[3] It was all fun and games until Kinley decided to step off the stage and busted her cheek. Poor baby! That was the beginning of the end of our Central Market trip!

The picture is from my phone so it’s horrible but that is what K looked like!

We had such a wonderful time getting to see the Huttons. We are so excited that they are up here working one of the horrible storms we had and hope to get to see them a lot during the next coming weeks!

Baby Dolls!

I am behind on a few blogs because of all this sickness! I was just going to skip a few things but decided I didn’t want to! BTW, the girls are feeling better! It has been wonderful…I hope it continues.

For the girls birthday, Kinley and Madelyn got a few presents in the mail and they LOVED opening them all. I could do a whole post about just that actually. Adde and Clare sent the girls some SWEET new baby dolls!

The girls were VERY excited about them! (Madelyn)

IMG_9197 The girls are pretty fond of baby dolls right now and these are no exception!

IMG_9203IMG_9198

I love Kinley’s face in this picture! IMG_9199

The girls some how have decided that these dolls look like Dora. It took me like 10 minutes the other night to figure out what they were talking about. They were literally screaming “dorda” doll “dorda” doll, I brought every Dora thing in our house and nothing was making them happy. I finally figured out they were talking about those dolls. They have now become a staple in the girls crib. They are starting to have quite a collection of “babies” in their cribs.

Got to love the Mav’s Socks Madelyn is rocking! Those are from her Daddy.

We LOVE the dolls! Thank you Adde and Clare!

The Party...PART ONE!

I have thought and thought about how I wanted to blog about the party! I think I am going to do it in two parts. There is just too much to fit in one post. Part 1-details! The part that spent hours and hours of planning! Part 2-the actually party!

We had the party at my cousin's house. I had asked her a while ago and she was very gracious and allowed us to have it there!

Since the girls were about 6 months old I started thinking about their party. (I know, silly) Let me start off by saying I was a rush director in college. I LOVE planning a party...most of the time. Anyways from the beginning wanted to do a candy bar or sweet type thing. Thus was born the "sugar and spice" theme(green and LOTS of pink). I have two girls and it had to be girlie! I looked all over the internet for inspiration and ideas. Let me tell you there is a lot out there! I got a lot of inspiration and ideas from The Creative party place. Seriously check her out if you are planning a party!!!!

On with the Show!

Welcoming the guests!

The Table!

The beautiful cupcakes my cousin made! (they tasted amazing too!!)

I have to brag on MIMI for a minute! (my mom) In all my years of planning rushes, my wedding, and graduation parties, My mom is ALWAYS up to the challenge and is always willing to help create any crazy idea I have. She even made this SUPER cute ginger bread house to sit at the candy bar!

Isn't it super cute! It was perfect for the "sweet shop"

What is a Candy bar with out Lollipops?!?
I got this idea from a another party I saw on The Creative Party place!
I had never made suckers before and it was not a easy thing!

There was lots of different candies! It was nice having Valentine's Day Candy out already!

I thought these turned out pretty cute! If you have never seen Bakerilla, you should! They were pretty easy to make.

I found this super cute frame...I could not pass it up. How perfect!

Our favors were toothbrushes and of course...CANDY!
When people first walked in the door, they found...

and a book, showing K&M through the months...
The "sweet" Birthday banner

What's a pink girlie party without PINK lemonade!

For the chocolate lover a little chocolate fondue!

Just in case you have not died from sugar yet...don't forget the COTTON CANDY!

Well I hope you feel like you were at the party! I mean how could you not with all those pictures?!? MUCH THANKS TO MY AWESOME COUSIN KIM FOR LETTING US USE HER HOUSE! Love you!

Come back to see part 2!
